you're going down! it's all over! no! it's not over yet! sofas that can take anything life throws at them. this is the bay area's news station, kron 4 news starts now sierra lamar vanished two months ago, the 15-year-old went missing march 16. she was on her way to the school bus stop. tonight a suspect has been taken into custody. kron 4's reggie kumar is live at the sheriff's office with the latest on the case. >> reporter: authorities took 21-year-old antolin garcia- torres into custody this evening. he was arrested in connection with the disappearance of sierra lamar. antolin garcia-torres is from

morgan hill and has been booked at the jail. as we know sierra lamar has been missing for two months. she disappeared from her home. people have been searching for her for weeks. there was a big break in the case on may 8 when authorities recovered a red jetta used in the kidnapping of sierra lamar. more information will come out about the arrest tomorrow morning at 8:00 right here that sheriff's office. police have made an arrest, antolin garcia-torres was arrested tonight. >> as you know there have been a number of searches going on this sierra lamar disappeared. talk about the searches and the involvement of the class kids foundation. >> reporter: searches have been

going on for weeks, mark class lost his daughter and he has been involved in the search efforts to try to find sierra lamar. people from all over the south bay, all over california has been involved in the searches to find her. they searched the water, hill said, they searched grass lands. there were a couple pieces of evidence found at sierra sierra lamar's home when she was first reported missing. her back pack and inside was clothes. now, investigators did take some dna samples from the evidence that was recovered, that information still haven't been released on what they found in the clothes. >> anything else you can tell us about the suspect at this time or is that supposed to

come out in the morning? >> reporter: it is all supposed to come out in the morning. we are just getting the information. it was e-mailed to us a half hour ago, all we know is antolin garcia-torres has been arrested in the case. >> reggie kumar reporting live, thank you. we have a time line of the search effort for sierra lamar. on friday, march 16 sierra lamar went missing after leaving her home headed for the school bus. on saturday the 17th police found her cell phone in a field. the next day crews found her purse with her clothes inside.

and earlier this month, may 7 police located the red jetta with the black top they believe is connected to her disappearance. we have continuing coverage on the arrest in the case on our website, www.kron.com and on facebook and tune in to the morning news at 4:00 a.m. for the latest in the case. on to other things now. a executive arrested for stealing boxes of legos from the target stores. but he wasn't swiping them off the shelves. police tell kate thompson he was printing out his own box codes for reduced prices. >> reporter: he would walk into target stores, take boxes of legos off the shelves, cover up the bar cold with one of his homemade ones so they would ring up for 75% off. he was arrested last week after the company began to catch on to what he was doing. he hit up several stores. on april 26 he switched the

barcodes on a star wars lego set that retails for $150 so it would ring up for $49. they found hundreds of boxes of unopened legos. they don't know what was stolen and what wasn't. he sold legos on ebay for the past year. he raked in $30,000. reporting live, kate thompson, kron 4 news. breaking news out of southern california. this is the scene of a small plane crash in glendale. the plane went down about 8:00 tonight. the pilot told the flight control tower that he was having engine trouble. he tried to fly to the airport but couldn't make it. crash t -- it crashed into a residential neighborhood. the pilot is in stable

condition tonight. the won'tboat captain responsible for crashing a oil anchor into the bay bridge is trying to get his license back. this is the scene from 2007. the captain served 10 months in prison for operating under the influence of prescription medicine. his application was originally denied but now his lawyer says they may sue to get his license reinstated. the golden state warriors could be moving out of oakland and across the bay into san francisco. nothing is official yet. but the team says a big announcement is coming tomorrow and many think the team will make it announcement official at the time. we caught up with mayor ed lee who was hopeful about the announcement. >> we put everything we can, our best foot forward for the

warriors to consider san francisco and -- we will wait for their decision. but i will tell you, we are lucky to be here. after lack luster ipo opening day on friday for facebook, the stock took a big hit today. facebook stock fell 11%. dropping from $38 to $34 a share. on friday as we said it was 38 for the opening. there is just not a lot of investor confidence right now but ipos are often vaulter during -- volatile during their first few weeks on the market.

anniversary celebration of the golden gate bridge and preparations are underway. you can see the crews busy at work. tents were set up today. officials expect huge crowds and major traffic delays and the golden gate bridge will be shut down sunday night adding to the congestion. kron 4's charles clifford has details. >> reporter: this sunday there could be severe traffic congestion in san francisco. it could be made worse when the golden gate bridge is shut down for a massive fire works show. the fire works will be fired off from two spots. there will be a barge and fires will be launched from the bridge itself. organizers are encouraging visitors not to drive to the

festival and no vehicles or parking allowed inside the presidio. residents will be able to drive in and out of the park but they will need a special permit. the southern parking lots will also be closed during the day. also there will be no bridge walk this year. the pedestrian walkways will be open during the day but closed between 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. in san francisco, charles clifford, kron 4 news. president obama will be visiting the bay area this week, landing wednesday afternoon. the first event is a fundraising dinner at lisa and doug goldman's home. from there off to redwood city's fox theatre and thursday
